Dear, Sir

RE: CHQ-0489480
I am sending my resume in application for the position of HR Generalist at IBM Romania, as advertised on the IBMs website.
I am a self-motivated, efficient and diplomatic human resourcer with two years of volunteer experience in the industry and I believe my strengths and skills make me a perfect fit for this position.
In my currently working on my bachelors degree in Sociology and I have worked in AIESEC, a student run organization for a year. Where I have experience as a Project Manager Incoming Exchange Non-corporate and Vice President for Incoming Exchange Non-corporate. One huge part of the job was my commitment to staff relations by taking the time to listen to complaints and deal with issues, resulting in a 80 per cent reduction in personal leave in my department. I was also working with requirement of new qualified members. I am highly conceptualized, having maintained efficiency and even accepted an extra half workload on top of my own duties.
Earlier this year I coordinated an evaluation of personnel management practices and reviewed all job descriptions against actual work being done. This resulted in employees reacting favorably to having their voices heard, and to HR offering a more supportive workplace.
I received many high distinctions in my studies in sociology since it gives me a new perspective on how to look at other people and the society we are living in, and combined with AIESEC it has given me Workplace Training. I developed a greater understanding of how Human Resource departments works, developed outstanding interpersonal and communicational skills and made me more structured and organized to reach my goals.
I would like the opportunity to meet and discuss how I can contribute to the productivity and effectiveness of your business. Thank you for considering my application. I look forward to hearing from you.
Yours sincerely

Sumea Mujnovic

Blogg #2: What can I say or do to get her to stop?!

Interpersonal conflicts means disagreement between two or more people on a topic. It is something that occurs in every part of your life: at work, between friends and family. My story is something that didn't happen long time ago and and is still a difficult part of my life. It is based on a interpersonal conflict between me and my best friend.

She was looking at me, but seeing through me. Her eyes were all red and full of tears. Andrea was a stranger to me. She wasn’t the same person; she wasn’t my best friend anymore.

I remember when we first met, ten years ago. From that moment onwards, we did everything together. We were like twins. Everything was perfect until six months ago,  when she started dating Ted. He was the bad boy that did everything he wasn’t supposed to do, even drugs. He got her addicted and she thought everything was perfect, and she still does. She now lives in her own little world. She doesn’t talk to her family or friends anymore, not even to me, her best friend. We used to stick together, during good and bad times. Nothing could split us apart…. except drugs. We became strangers. I don’t know how to approach her. It is simply impossible to enlighten her since she won't listen to me. It is killing me from inside. She was a role model for me: she was brilliant, did sports and was loved by everyone. In short, she had everything that guarantees a prominent future. Unfortunately, this world does not  exist  anymore. She has forgotten everything she had, even our friendship, our plans, everything.

Two months ago I caught here stealing from me, and she keeps missing every appointment we make. I have tried to confront her but she won't listen to me, she does not believe in what I say. When I tell her he is not good for her, she freaks out. All this frustrates me. The situation is hopeless. I can’t trust her any more.

A couple of days before I came to Singapore, I was supposed to meet her.. Guess what?…. She didn’t show up. I was so mad. It was the last freaking drop, so I went to her place and found her in her bed.

She looked at me, but saw through me….

Communication works for those who works with it

In todays society communication is important. The communication channels are developing all the time and it´s not easy to keep up with the change. If you can’t communicate you cant get far in world. Because every part of your life is depending on communication; your clothing choice, makeup, body language, your eyes say allot, walk, talk, language skills, expressions etc. It’s a two-way communication, so every single thing matter for how the other person will react and how you will react on his responding. There can become some misunderstandings because you didn’t quite now how to use communication in a good way, and then you will get a respond you didn’t hope for. It is also important in the organizational life and the working life in general. Since it will create common understanding environment between the employees and management. And it increases also the productivity in the organization, like the employee’s productivity.

It´s allot of stuff you need to think about to create good communication and to develop you communication skills. I study Sociology and Political science back in Norway and here I´m taking communication, media, business and economic classes. The reason for that is that I might want to work with Human Resources later on and communication is one of the most important things in Human Resources. In generally I love to talk, and I also talk way too much sometimes. Have you ever experienced standing and talking to someone and trying to convince him or her but then they totally misunderstand the whole thing? Well I have, since I get sometimes to enthusiastic about something but don’t use communication in a good way so it ends up with confusion. I would love to learn good communication, how to persuade people and make them believe me even if I told a lie (Not that I want to tell lies, but it can come in handy).

Good communication includes also active listening and forming constructive criticism. That’s a side I´m bad at, specially the active listening since I talk way to much. I worked for a year now in a organization called AIESEC, that I worlds biggest student driven organization. I was the Project Manager for a semester and then the Vice President. Something I learned from that period of time is that I have to listen more and give more constructive criticism. Also no matter how great ideas you have if you cant communicate properly nobody will do as you told them and you will have to do everything by your self at the end. Triple work!

I just want a tree to be a understood as a tree..

First assignment due on Sunday..

First post on my new blog..

Few weeks ago I made a traveller blog so I could keep my family and friends updated in Norway on what is happening on exchange here in Singapore. But I only made one post there(lazy) and I already have a new blog.. But this blog I can't give up on so easily since it´s depending on my grade in a subject I take at National University of Singapore (I also hope that my honesty about my laziness won't put my grade down).

Ether way this blog is made for the subject called Professional Communication, and that means it is made for me so I can improve my communication skills. The assignment is due on Sunday and it is about Importance of effective communication and why it is important to me. Because of the assignment I will wright in the next post a bitt about my self and why I decided to take this module.
